Here at DesignFluxx, we're always up for a challenge - and this project was no exception. With a near impossible timeframe due to the CrossFit Games and a National Magazine Ad going out, ROMWOD wanted an entirely new UI and re-development from a previous vendor to vastly improve site functionality and aesthetic - essentially starting from scratch and re-building everything from the ground up. With a completely custom UI, advanced membership, recurring billing, and affiliate subscription capabilities - the end product provided the client exactly what they were looking for, just ask them. ROMWOD has come to be one of our favorite projects due to the creative freedom the client allowed in its design, and we continually work to improve and expand it even further.
With a primary goal of providing the easiest user experience for users to engage with daily on any device, we took the user experience (UX) planning for this project very seriously, and conveyed that in the user interface (UI) by providing a clean, simple, and functional design that allows users to find what they want without hassle.
Another goal of the project was to allow users to practice anytime, anywhere, on any device. With the many devices available today, this is a challenge. We accommodated the challenge by utilizing a completely responsive design that will adapt to the device based on screen size, as well as video hosting technologies that adjust video playback quality based on the users bandwidth.
We proudly were able to meet the clients launch deadline in time for their featured ad in WodTalk Magazine, coinciding with the CrossFit Games (at which the client and their teams competed and promoted ROMWOD).
